2-2 Reversal

A directional bar, then a break of it the other way. Everyone who traded the first 2 is trapped.

Two consecutive directional bars that point opposite ways. A 2d (took the prior bar's low) followed by a bar that breaks the 2d's high is the bullish 2-2 Reversal; the mirror is bearish.

The logic is the trapped crowd: everyone who sold the 2d is now on the wrong side, and their exits fuel the move the other way. The alert fires the moment the prior bar's extreme breaks.

FAQ

What is a bullish 2-2 Reversal?

2d, then the break of that 2d's high.

What is a bearish 2-2 Reversal?

2u, then the break of that 2u's low.

How are 2-2 Reversal alerts graded?

Each alert carries an entry, a stop and target 1 when it fires. It counts as a win if price reaches target 1 before the stop and a loss if the stop trades first; one 15-minute bar touching both counts as a loss. Alerts stay open until one of them happens.

Other patterns

How grading works: every break alert carries an entry, a stop and target 1 when it fires. An alert counts as a win if price reaches target 1 before the stop and a loss if the stop trades first; if one 15-minute bar touches both, it counts as a loss. Alerts stay open until one of them happens. Examples shown here are the most recent resolved alerts at least 7 days old, wins and losses alike. Live alerts and today's levels are for members.
